Special Tour – Roberta and Friends

Arrive to Brindisi Int airport (BDS) and meet your tour guide Roberta and your tour driver. Head to your hotel via transfer at 12:00 pm, 3:00 pm.   

In the late afternoon visit the little town of Ceglie di Messapica and the main square with the Castello Ducale. Welcome dinner will be served at a local restaurant. 

Hotel: Relais Porta del Sud or similar (9 nights)  

In the morning discover the ceramic district of Grottaglie and the rich clay utilized to produce colorful pottery for generations. Lunch on your own followed a relaxing time in the hotel. In the late afternoon visit the characteristic town of Martina Franca with its baroque style architecture for a short walking tour. Dinner at a local restaurant to taste the flavors of typical “bombette and the capocollo” of Martina Franca. 

This morning with Roberta reach the village of Alberobello, known for its strange white Trulli buildings with their circular structures and conical roofs. Free time for lunch before returning to your hotel to relax. In the late afternoon drive to Brindisi for a nice and peaceful walking on seaside “Regina Margherita” ending at a local restaurant for dinner. 

This morning drive to Ostuni, called the “white city”, one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the Adriatic Sea. With Roberta walk through the tiny white paths of the city center to reach the Basilica and admire it’s elegant rose window. In the late morning visit the oil mill with olive oil tasting at typical “Masseria” with lunch. Enjoy a relaxing evening. 

This morning, visit the capital city of the Apulia region Bari, following Roberta through the old section called “Bari Vecchia”. Here you may have a chance to see nonna’s making typical orecchiette fresh pasta and visit the basilica of “San Nicola” patron of the town. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant to taste the most authentic dish of Bari “Pasta all’Assassina”.  In the afternoon, free time at your leisure to discover the restored commercial area along the seafront. 

In the late morning drive to the beautiful Valley D’Itria to experience and learn how to make the traditional “orecchiette” with a fun pasta making class with “Nonna”. Lunch concludes with a wine tasting and typical products of the region.   

Enjoy a scenic drive through the landscape of Salento to reach Gallipoli one of the most beautiful village overlooking the Ionio sea. With Roberta discover the historical city center and the Cathedral of Sant’Agata. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon time to enjoy the white sand beach at your own pace.   

This morning participate in a cheesemaking demonstration and have lunch in the local Msseria. In the afternoon, head to Poligano a Mare, the amazing village built on the clifftop overlooking the sea. With Roberta take a short walking tour of the center followed by some free time to enjoy at your own pace. 

This morning reach Locorotondo, considered one of the most beautiful Italian historical centers. The circular shape includes many treasures such as a Romanic church dedicated to Saint Mary of the Greeks. Enjoy a stroll through the magical streets and do some shopping in the quaint shops. Don’t miss some delicious Italian gelato! Tonight dinner will be served in the hotel restaurant to celebrate the success of your relaxing journey in Apulia region with Roberta.
