By Amanda F.(United States (US))May 24, 2025 Fantastic timeWe had a fantastic time with Great Tours of Italy. Each day of the tour was very well organised and we experienced many varied , interesting experiences. All guides were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and proud of their local areas and their enthusiasm rubbed off on us and added to our enjoyment and appreciation. Only one suggestion for improvement …. whilst I appreciate the purpose of the dining experiences is to taste local cooking it would have been nice to have a non pasta alternative to choose from for main course for those who eventually felt “pasta’d out “

By Stephanie L.(United States (US))October 2, 2024 IncomparableWe were scheduled to travel in 2020 but due to COVID were forced to reschedule four times until we finally made it. And, was it ever worth the wait! Our tour leader was an outstanding guide with an amazing knack for individual attention whether to dietary needs or physical limitations of his travelers. Although we loved every aspect of the trip, the day spent walking, eating and drinking in Tuscan’s countryside was an experience we will never forget. Having traveled to Italy for the first times, the unique experiences and authenticity of each location on this trip were incomparable. Hopefully, we will have an opportunity to join one of Great Tours of Italy tours in the future.

By Kimbell R. September 22, 2024 Small-group sizeGreat Tours of Italy tour felt like living a dream for two weeks. We saw so many diverse parts of Italy — from historic cities, beautiful countryside, coastal towns, to countryside castles — and each stop felt unique. The small-group size made every day feel personal and manageable. This tour gave us exactly mix of history, food, architecture, and landscapes. A truly “once-in-a-lifetime” experience.

All the hotels were great and the food was outstanding everywhere. Going on a small group tour certainly makes this a lot more fun.

By S.T.(Italy)June 4, 2023 All inclusive tourI usually don’t post reviews but my Great Tours of Italy trip in April 2019 was so well organized and enjoyable that I decided I would post about it! Our guide Roberta handled everything! Our hotels were great. All of the food was excellent, especially the dinners in small restaurants. And the local guides at the Vatican and in Florence really exhibited how well they understood and loved the sights that they were showing us. I have to admit that I was not looking forward to traveling by bus but with the exception of one side trip, the buses were comfortable and pleasant. We chose Great Tours of Italy because we were looking for all inclusive tour. I was delighted with the choice and all the inclusions were perfect selected!

By Caren and Paul Smith(Italy)June 4, 2019 Visit Italy! We just returned from our 1st tour of Italy. It was a 13 days Bella Italia tour. We wanted to visit Italy and needed a tour where someone could translate the Italian language if necessary, as well as a tour that would provide us with interesting as well as beautiful and cultural venues. We chose Great Tours of Italy because of our familiarity with their friends advertisements doing these tours of Italy over the years. The itinerary was fantastic and the Tour Leader, as well as all the Tour Guides, were truly outstanding. Every detail of our tour was perfect from the very beginning to the very end. The bus transportation traveling through Italy was top notch, as was the bus driver, who got us through some pretty narrow places with complete safety. The hotels, as well as the food & meal choices, were all top notch. The cities & places we visited were awesome as well. We were just so very impressed by the whole Great Tours of Italy italian tour operator.

By Caren L.(Italy)May 7, 2019 Family reunionMy parents, sister, and I just got back from the 13 daysBella Italia Tour, and it was amazing. While it did get quite tiring with a busy tour schedule, summer heat, and crowds, it was a trip of a lifetime. From our airport transfers, hotel reservations, included tours and much more. I would highly recommend Great Tours of Italy to anyone. Our tour leader, Elisa, was absolutely amazing. I was very sad when we had to say goodbye to her (and to the other 10+ members of our tour group). She was so kind and thoughtful. She was very careful to make sure everyone knew the schedule. She gave good recommendations and had answers to any question. The bus that we traveled through Italy with was very comfortable and well-kept. On this tour, we went from Rome, Venice to Florence and Amalfi, and the travel between each place and hotel was so easy and organized. The hotels were all so nice. Again, issues were rare and usually minor, but if we had any at the hotel, the hotel addressed it quickly. All the local tour guides spoke great English and were very knowledgable. Whether it was the Vatican or Pompeii or seeing the David, being a part of the tour group was great because we rarely had to wait in line despite the large crowds of people. That was great. I hope I can do another Great Tours of Italy tour one day. Thanks so much. If you're looking for a trip of a lifetime, I highly, highly recommend you check Bella Italia tour!

By Claudia W.(Italy)April 23, 2019 Awsome tourAwesome tour. They took care of everything-luggage,transfers,hotels,tours, breakfast and excellent lunches and dinners. When we were on our own our guide Roberta provided excellent suggestions. We don’t have any allergies or food issues but a few in our group did and Roberta made sure they received the correct meal. She has the best personality for the job keeping everyone informed along the way and always with a smile. The tours were excellent. The guides we had were very knowledgeable and fun and we learned a lot. Our bus driver was excellent too. We have recommended Great Tours of Italy to our family and friends. My one cousin booked her tour for March 2020 and my other cousin is looking into a multi city tour of Italy with Perillo. They have been in business a long time and really have the best people guiding their tours

By Mary Ann B.(Italy)April 23, 2019 Best vacationJust got back from our vacation with GTI, our trip was April 23-May 5 2019. We had the best vacation ever 2 weeks on the Bela Italia tour. Going there we felt very informed with what to expect what to bring. In our group there were 8 people, over the 2 weeks we saw more than I could have ever planned to see if we had been on our own. Our local guides that showed us around were very knowledgeable about everything the area had to offer. The hotels were all top notch, and the food was amazing. This was a great value for what we did and saw, there is no way we could have seen and done all this for the amount we spent! I would do it again in a heartbeat!

By Andrew P.(Italy)June 19, 2018 Perfect planned tourDave and Laura. We went on the Bella Italia Great Tours of Italy tour a week ago. Everything was handled seamlessly from beginning to end. We couldn’t possibly have done on our own. Every day was filled with fun. They got us into the Colosseum. They got us into the forum. they got us into the Vatican. They even got us into the blue grotto, which is almost impossible. Ferries were booked and we were led on. we had to think of nothing but showing up. Everything was done. I can’t say enough about how well planned everything was. In addition the local guides were outstanding. Walking encyclopedias. Without them, I would not have even known what I was looking at. All in all highly recommended. Great job great memories and I can’t wait until the next one Great Tours of Italy tour.
