During this marvelous vacation through the North Italy, you will visit not only the most important cities, Milan, Verona, Venice, Bologna, Turin, but you will also can enjoy many picturesque villages of scenic beauty as Sirmione, Cortina D’Ampezzo, Cinque Terre, Barolo, Stresa, Isola Bella, Lake Major, Lake Como and Bellagio.

Also visit the parmesan cheese factory, balsamic vinegar cellar, Ferrari museum and winery estate.

The North Italy is known for its “Made in Italy”; Milan fashion design, expensive car as “Ferrari”, delectable cuisines as “Parmigiano Reggiano”, fine wines as “Spumante” and a lot more. Traveling in this tour will be an unforgettable experience!

ITINERARY

Day 1 – Welcome to Milan

Welcome to Milano Malpensa int.airport (MXP). At your arrival, your tour guide and driver will be waiting for you at 9:30 am, 12:30 pm, 3:00 pm to escort you to your hotel, where you may rest, or, you may begin exploring Milan on your own. In the afternoon meet your local guide and others tour passengers for a sightseeing tour of the city center to see the Duomo & Galleria Vittorio Emanuele before ending the day with a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Hotel: Mirage, Da Vinci, Dei Cavalieri or similar (1 night)

Day 2 – Sirmione, Verona

This morning drive to the small village of Sirmione on the Lake Garda, to enjoy the beauty of its lovely views and shops at your pleasure. In the afternoon, reach Romeo & Juliet’s town of Verona where our local guide takes you to visit one of the most powerful cities during the early rule of the Roman Empire which overlooks the ancient amphitheater ‘Arena’ built by the Romans. It remains one of the most well-preserved ruins in the country. At the end of the walking tour dinner will be served at one of the local restaurants.

Hotel: Roseo Hotel Leon D’Oro, Crowne Plaza or similar (1 night)

Day 3 – Venice, Dolomite Montains

No tour of Northern Italy would be completed without a visit to Venice, of course. A powerful magnet for all art lovers, romantics, fans of architecture, & history buffs from around the globe, you will enjoy a private walking tour through the ancient city followed by time to explore on your own & browse through the shops or ride a gondola. In the late afternoon, drive to the beautiful Dolomite Mountains. Tonight, dinner will be served in the hotel.

Hotel: Belvedere, Ancora, Cristallino D’Ampezzo or similar (2 nights)

Day 4 – Dolomite Mountain

Today, excursion to enjoy breath-taking views of the most majestic mountains, lakes, & valleys that the Dolomites have to offer. In the afternoon enjoy the beautiful village of Cortina D’Ampezzo at your own pleasure before returning to your hotel. Tonight, dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

Day 5 – Bologna

This morning we leave the Dolomite mountains to reach Bologna, capital of the Emilia Romagna region, for a private sightseeing tour with our local guide through the city center, Piazza Maggiore, the Palazzo Comunale, Sala Borsa, & the Basilica St. Petronio with some free time to spend at your own pleasure. In the late afternoon head to the province of Parma for dinner at a local restaurant.

Hotel: CDH Villa Ducale, City Parma or similar (2 nights)

Day 6 – Parmesan Cheese Factory, Balsamic Vinegar Cellar, Ferrari Museum, Parma

The Emilia Romagna region is very well known as “The Capital of Food”. This morning, we visit with an expert one of the local “Parmigiano Reggiano” farm producer to sample this well-known cheese. For lunch, we head to Modena where we’ll also visit a local Balsamic Vinegar cellar for a tasting with a sampling of Lambrusco wine. After lunch, continue to Maranello to visit the Ferrari museum. If you so choose you may rent a Ferrari to drive (not included). Enjoy the evening at your own pleasure in Parma.

Day 7 – Cinque Terre

We travel to the Liguria region on the Tyrrhenian coast for a full day excursion through famous Cinque Terre, colorful villages built on rugged, steep landscapes right up to the cliffs overlooking the sea. The unique landscapes have terraced vineyards sustained by dry walling, a perfect example of man-made countryside architecture in inaccessible surroundings. Weather permitting, you’ll travel between the villages by boat to admire Cinque Terre’s cliffs & sweeping coastal views (If rough seas prevail, you will be escorted by minibus through some villages). Tonight, dinner will be served in the hotel.

Hotel: Villa Pagota, NH La Spezia, Regina Elena or similar (1 night)

Day 8 – Barolo, Turin

This morning we leave the luxurious Italian Riviera to set off to Turin, the capital city of the Piedmont region, stopping along the way in Barolo, a hilltop town & one of the most famous names in Northern Italian wines, to enjoy a wine tasting with lunch made of local cuisine. In the afternoon, discover Turin via a guided tour as you pass by Piazza Castello, Palazzo Madama, St. Lorenzo’s Church, & Palazzo Carignano. Enjoy the evening at your own pleasure.

Hotel: Pacific Fortino, MH Diamante or similar (1 night)

Day 9 – Lake Maggiore, Isola Bella, Stresa

After breakfast, we leave Turin for the beautiful Lake Major. Here, you will experience a boat ride to ‘Isola Bella’ and a walking tour with a local guide. Isola Bella is renowned for their beautiful palaces & gardens with fountains, camellias, magnolias, cypresses, citrus fruits, rare plants, & flowers in abundance. In the afternoon, you will have time to stroll among the charming town of Stresa, the ‘Pearl of the Lake’ without a doubt, one of the most beautiful & prestigious lakeside destinations in Europe. Dinner will then be served in the hotel.

Hotel: Lido Palace, Villa Paradiso or similar (1 night)

Day 10 – Lake Como, Bellagio, Milan

This morning, short ride to the stunningly scenic & world-famous Lake Como to explore the fashionable lakeside town of Como surrounded by snowcapped mountains & picturesque Mediterranean villas & enjoy a breathtaking cruise along Lake Como to the village of Bellagio. Here you will have time to enjoy the village at your own pleasure. Tonight, dinner will be served in your hotel or a local restaurant.

Hotel: Brunelleschi, Poli or similar (1 night)

Day 11 – Leaving for home

Arrivederci Great North Italy! Our airport transfer arrives to Malpensa International Airport (MXP) at 7:00 am and 9:00 am.

Suggested attire:

  • Comfortable shoes are important for walking on the uneven surfaces. We also suggest a sweater when visiting the Dolomites Mountains.
