For 2025/2026 Vacations — Please Read Carefully

The purchase of any travel services offered by GreattoursofItaly.com (“G.T.I.”) constitutes a contractual arrangement between you (the traveler) and G.T.I. and represents your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking.


RESERVATION & FINAL PAYMENT

  • Deposit: A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of EURO 400 /USD 400 / CAD 450 / AUD 450 / NZD 450 per person is required per land vacation.
    For customized tours/services, a 30% deposit applies.
  • Booking Confirmation: Booking is confirmed once the deposit is received, and a confirmation invoice is issued.
    G.T.I. accepts wire transfer, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
  • Final Payment: Due 45 days prior to tour start date.
    Failure to pay will result in cancellation of the reservation, and your full deposit will be retained by G.T.I.
  • Late Bookings: For reservations within 45 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

LAST-MINUTE RESERVATIONS

  • Bookings made 30 days or less prior to departure incur a $150 fee.
  • Bookings must be made at least 5 days prior to departure.
  • Final payment is due within 24 hours after confirmation.

PRICES

  • Tour prices are per person, double occupancy, based on known rates at the time of publication and may change without notice.
  • Prices do not include airfare.

Guarantee: Once full deposit is received, the base land price is guaranteed (excluding taxes and energy surcharges).


TICKET REVISION / CANCELLATION FEE

  • Traveler substitutions are allowed if G.T.I. is notified at least 4 working days before departure.
  • Both original traveler and substitute are jointly responsible for all fees.

HOLIDAYS & SPECIAL EVENTS

  • Certain services may be limited during local/national holidays, Sundays, or special events.
  • Alternatives will be offered where possible.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

  • Valid passport required for all travelers.
  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the trip’s end.
  • It is the traveler’s responsibility to obtain correct visas/documentation.

ROOMS & ACCOMMODATIONS

  • Single Rooms: Limited availability, often smaller in size.
  • Triple Rooms: Usually a twin-bedded room with folding bed or cot — not ideal for 3 adults.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • More than 45 days prior: USD 400 / CAD 450 / AUD 450 / NZD 450 or 30% (custom tours) — non-refundable deposit.
  • 30 days prior: 50% of total cost.
  • 15 days prior: 90% of total cost.
  • 5 days or less / No show: 100% of total cost.

Tickets for events or attractions are non-refundable.


ESCORTED TOURS / NON-OPERATION

  • Tours require a minimum number of participants.
  • If canceled, you’ll be notified at least 45 days prior and refunded in full.
  • G.T.I. is not responsible for airline or visa fees in case of cancellation.

PARTICIPATION & HEALTH

  • G.T.I. reserves the right to remove disruptive participants.
  • Travelers with health conditions should consult their physician.
  • If a traveler falls ill during the tour, they may be required to seek medical attention and separate from the group.

YOUNG TRAVELERS

  • Travelers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and share accommodation.

SMOKING POLICY

  • Smoking is prohibited on all G.T.I.-provided transportation.
  • Many European hotels enforce non-smoking policies.

REFUNDS & UNUSED SERVICES

  • No refunds will be provided for unused services or for any voluntary changes to the itinerary made by the traveler during the trip.

SPECIAL ASSISTANCE

  • Travelers requiring personal assistance must travel with a companion.

PHOTOGRAPHIC RELEASE

  • G.T.I. may use photos/videos from tours for promotional purposes without compensation.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

G.T.I. acts only as an intermediary for services provided by independent suppliers (transport, hotels, attractions).

G.T.I. is not liable for:

  • Acts of nature, war, civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, accidents, property damage, delays, overbookings, air-conditioning differences, mechanical failures, health issues, or other third-party services beyond our control.

ARBITRATION AGREEMENT

All disputes must be resolved by binding arbitration in Rome, Italy, in accordance with Italian law.
Mediation is required prior to arbitration. The prevailing party is entitled to recover reasonable legal fees.


COMPLAINT PROCEDURE

  • Complaints must be submitted in writing within 10 days of tour completion.
  • Claims not submitted on time may be forfeited.

RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSE

G.T.I. is an independent tour operator and does not own or operate any lodging, airline, or transportation companies used in our tours.
Liability is limited in accordance with applicable international conventions.
